Installing Wolf Miata Remote Alarm

Highlights from the full instruction sheet that comes with every kit. For other questions, contact us or post in The Wolf Miata Forum.

Installing a reliable and efficient security system is usually a job for professional auto engineers. Normally wires have to be cut and soldered, and holes drilled into metal. But don’t worry — our engineers have designed a system specifically for the Miata 2 that's easy to fit. No soldering, no holes to drill in metal!

The Wolfmiata system offers you the following protection:

  • Opening the hood or doors will sound the siren and flash the turn signals.

  • An adjustable shock sensor also sounds the alarm if your vehicle is hit.

  • A microwave radar sensor protects the inside of the vehicle from intruders even if the top is down. This sensor detects mass, but is not set off by wind or vibration.

  • When the alarm is set, a starter kill relay is activated.

For further convenience and protection, an optional trunk pack is also available.

Interface Harness.jpg (16205 bytes)The first secret to installing our system is a plug-in interface harness that makes all the important power connections for you. It installs the starter kill wiring by plugging into the factory harness behind the starter switch.Siren Mounting.jpg (30139 bytes)

In the engine bay, the siren mounts to an unused stud on the wheel arch. The engine bay is protected by a pin switch that fits to a factory-made hole.

The radar sensor fits under the electric window switches and simply plugs into the alarm.radar sensor.jpg (18259 bytes)

All other parts bolt or wire tie into place and plug into special connectors .

The alarm comes complete with two key-ring size, remote transmitters with four buttons that offer a range of possible functions. The transmitters use the latest code-hopping technology and Automatic Transmitter Verification to ensure that your vehicle is secure.
