Installing Pioneer TS-E2095 Speakers in Miata Mk2 and 3

NEW! Redesigned for Easier Installation!

Note: These speakers are not compatible with the Bose factory option included with some Miatas. Please e-mail us if you're in doubt about your car.

Highlights from the full instruction sheet that comes with every kit. For other questions, contact us or post in The Wolf Miata Forum.

Remove the Door Trims

1) Remove the three plastic fastening clips by prying out their center pins a little and then pulling out the complete fastener.

2) Remove the screws at the top and bottom of the grab handle. On earlier Miatas, the lower screw is under a small piece of carpet.

3) Take out the screw above the door handle and remove the plastic shroud.

4) Carefully pull off the door trim. It is secured by clips. Start at the bottom edge of the trim.

Remove the Factory Speaker

5) Remove the four outer screws that loosen the complete speaker and plastic housing from the door.

6) Unplug the speaker and remove it.

Fit the Pioneer Speaker

7) Plug the speaker's wiring onto the factory connector.

8) Secure the speaker with the screws and small spacers to the top and bottom factory holes.

9) For additional security, drill four more holes into the door and fasten the speaker with screws.
